Dietmar Hamann believes Kingsley Coman could be Liverpool’s replacement for Mohamed Salah if the Egyptian decides to leave the club next year.
Salah refused to rule out a future move to Barcelona or Real Madrid during an interview with Spanish publication AS earlier this month.
Hamann, who played for the Reds between 1999 and 2006, said Jurgen Klopp will have already drawn up a list of potential targets and suggested Coman as a possible option.

The former Liverpool midfielder believes Coman is the best winger in the world right now
‘For me, the best winger out there at the moment is Kingsley Coman,’ Hamann told Stadium Astro.
‘He had injury problems when he came to Munich but he got fit and scored the winner in the Champions League final.
‘He’s two-footed, he’s quick, he’s very clever, great decision making and his finishing has improved a lot.
‘Coman is the player. Bayern Munich aren’t interested in losing him, he’s happy.
Coman has five goals and nine assists in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season
Salah refused to rule out a future move to Barcelona or Real Madrid in an interview with AS
‘If Salah were to move, if he wants to go, which might be quite likely, that will have a knock-on effect. Liverpool will have to buy somebody. Whoever they sign, that team will need to buy a replacement. Things happen quickly.’
Coman has five goals and nine assists in all competitions for Bayern Munich this season while Salah has 16 goals and four assists.
The forward has been a consistent performer for Jurgen Klopp’s side since his arrival from Roma in 2017. In the last three seasons he’s managed 94 goals in all competitions and he’s the leading scorer in the current campaign with 16 goals in 21 games.
Liverpool could demand a big fee for their star man with Salah contracted at Anfield until 2023. Coman’s Bayern deal is set to expire at the same time.
